With finals week approaching, teachers take the time to reflect back on the year and point out key moments that have been the best part.
Jonathan Woodbury, Biology and AP Biology teacher, says the year has been busy.
This year was Woodbury’s first time teaching 3 sections of AP Biology by himself, and had to prioritize teaching certain content to AP Biology, in order not to fall behind.
Woodbury says, “We didn’t do as many labs this year as I had hoped because a 2-day lab would take 4 days, and lots of students got confused and missed the point of the experiment.”
The best part of the year for Woodbury has been being able to “keep track of the assignments in a To-Do List for his AP Biology and regular Biology classes.”
“It’s been awesome seeing it grow because it reminds me of all the work we’ve done and content we’ve learned,” says Woodbury.
Woodbury says the sophomores that he teaches for Biology are awesome, “but it’s clear that they have some behavioral deficits from not being in in-person school.”
Brenda Milligan, Integrated Math 3 H and Math 3, says the year “has been really good… even if it’s been a little stressful at times.”
Milligan had “to make sure that [she] used [her] planning time wisely in order to get everything done.”
The best part of the year for Milligan “had been seeing [her] son back on stage.”
Milligan says, “I hope everyone has an amazing and restful summer. We all earned it this year!
