Redwood’s football team has been working non-stop during the summer for the upcoming season.

Now as you all were probably either using the free summer membership at planet fitness, or playing the occasional game of fortnite, Redwood football has been grinding on and off the field, and with a lot of Off – Season buzz, here is everything you need to know ahead of this season.
Now, lets settle the elephant in the room, over the span of last school years winter break, Redwood acquired Coach Curtis Allen, who has an impressive career to say the least. Played football as a running back at Fresno State, was UCLA’s track head coach, was head coach of COS football, and coached an olympic champion, with experience at all levels from JV to Division 1, it is clear Coach Allen can bring greatness to Redwood.
Now Redwood is not the only talk in EYL, as it had been revealed by CIF that by a majority vote that CVC (Central Valley Christian) will join EYL league play next year, so this year is the last regular year of EYL, and that can be Redwoods to take.
Although the road may be a little tough, with El Diamante getting a new head coach, Golden West coming off a strong season, the EYL is up for grabs and we will see who snatches it away from everybody else.
Redwood begins with a scrimmage today against Clovis with Freshman and JV, as varsity’s first game in next friday august 22nd against Centennial, GO RANGERS!
