On Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd a group of Redwood’s percussionists traveled to Fresno State University and Shaghoian Hall in Clovis to perform their percussive ensemble pieces at PAS’ 34th annual Day of Percussion.

Redwoods Percussion Starts Winter Season Strong and Hopeful
On January 27th Redwoods winter percussion group went to Clovis West High School to compete in their SJVCGPR circuit. The group managed to place 4th out of 4 with a score of 65.050. And while it might not seem like much, the students of the program still stay hopeful and can’t wait to keep the season going.

Redwood’s Percussion Carries Marching Band Success to Winter Season
With the Marching season ending, the marching band transitions to concert band and festival season, but what happens with the percussion? The percussion continues to compete, but now in a competition season just for percussion. So far they have had 3 competitions scoring as high as 1st on two occasions.
