Many people are planning to go to Sadies but have questions on how to prepare and what to expect. Well good thing fellow Ranger peers have decided to share their thoughts and ideas for Sadies.

The first step to getting ready for Sadies is getting a dance partner or a group to go with. Trey Schreiber ’20 is going in a group with his date. He is “ready to get down” as he plans to break-dance at Sadies. The thing he’s most excited for is hanging out with his friends and having a good time. One thing he plans to do for sure is get pictures at the dance because it will be his last Sadies from high school.

The second most common step to preparing for Sadies is dressing up for the theme. The theme of 2020 Sadies is Hawaiian… so cowabunga dudes! Most people are planning to wear leis and Hawaiian flower shirts, shorts, and dresses.

Thirdly, decide where you are going to take pictures. There are many photo worthy places in Visalia. A tip would be to find a nice photo place nearest to the dance for a closer proximity.

Sydney Brammer ’22 plans to get ready for Sadies with her friends. They will hangout before the dance and get their hair, makeup, and outfits ready together. Brammer is most excited for dancing with her friends and having good music. Her expectations for the dance are that the gym will be super Hawaiian decorated and the vibe to be beachy. Sadies for Brammer is a chance for the girl to ask the guy to a dance rather than the usual, where the guy asks the girl.

One of the most common expectations for Sadies is that it is going to be super up beat. The music will most likely be beachy and the dance will be heavily decorated in Hawaiian. Expect a Luau theme!

A tip that Nolan Martinez ‘20 would give to anyone interested in going to Sadies would be “Don’t be afraid to be yourself. If you hear a good song then go ahead and dance to it.”

Now you know how to prepare and what to expect for Sadies. Have fun and get your dance on!

Sadies is on March 7, 2020 at El Diamante High School Gym from 8pm-11pm. ASB sticker prices are $10, W/O ASB is $20, and at the door is $40.
