During the week of April 15th-22nd Spring Break had taken place, where lots of people had many different fun experiences. Some had them in California, where others had them outside of it.
Tayler Clift ‘19 expressed that she was able to get the opportunity to go to Hawaii. Clift says that her dad actually won this trip through his job and was able to take their family on this vacation. She said the trip was a great experience and she was able to spend more time with her family. It was a special time for them and the fact that was in Hawaii made it much more exciting. She will definitely remember this Spring Break because she was able to make lots of memories that will last forever.
Garry Meek ‘20 told the Gigantea that he was able to drive himself and his friends to Pismo. This was a huge highlight for him because he’s never driven that far before and it was a great experience for him. They got a hotel, had fun on the beach, and hung out around town. This trip had a special meaning because Meek and his friends were finally able to go on the road trip they had always been talking about. This will definitely be a Spring Break he remembers.
Sarah Jackson ’19 spent her spring break kayaking at Shaver Lake. This was a highlight of her break because she had the opportunity visit her grandfather, who she hadn’t seen in a long time. Jackson was also able to learn how to golf with her grandfather it was an overall good experience for her and her family. She also enjoyed this break because she was able to spend it with her sister, who goes to a different school.
Alexis Cabrera ’19 says he was able to go to Six Flags with his family. It was an overall thrill for him because of all the rides and it was a great overall experience to have done it with family. He spent this time with his favorite cousin and Uncle and they made it more fun and memorable. Cabrera says that he goes to Six Flags quite often so it wasn’t really any different.
Spring Break is a time for everyone to relax and just live life for a week before getting back into school. Family is a huge part of this vacation because of the memories you can create with them. The greatest memories we can make are with our friends and family and that’s what makes spring break matter.
