Redwood’s automotive skills club teaches others the essentials of being behind the wheel, that can be possibly looking into an engine,or fixing a flat tire.

Redwood High School’s new Automotive Club is more than just a place to talk about cars — it’s about learning real-life skills, building community, and helping students feel more prepared for life after high school.
Club member Omar Reyes, ’26 says “The reason I joined this club is because I want to teach students how to deal with real life situations, like for example say they get stuck on the side of the road and their tire gets popped, I want them to know what to do in that situation, if they have a scare to change it.”
Reyes says he wants others to be more experienced than he was, “For me I wasn’t as prepared for the real life, and I want others to be more prepared than I was so their not in that situation.”
“We had barely created this club, we had made it a few weeks back because we wanted to teach all the students the basics of automotive so they can save some money and have fun while doing it.” says Reyes.

Club president Aubreana Ceballos, ’26 says “Our main goal I would say is to create a sense of community, a place some people can go especially after school to find a place where they can share interest, and somewhere where they can just have some fun and work on cars!”
Reyes says “[ the club] is good because it shows you basic skills that you’ll need for later on in life, It’ll help save you money, and you’ll be able to join a welcoming community that will support you all the way through.”
Ceballos says, “Join automotive!”
