As we roll into another Redwood soccer season, here are some soccer life hacks you NEED to try!
Smelly Soccer Bag
As all athletes know, bags can be deadly! After weeks of practices your bag turns into a hot spot for stench! Luckily, there are many ways to get the disgusting smell of sweat out of your soccer bag! The most effective hack is in fact a home made and simple remedy. All you need to do is fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and mist it over the bag, inside and out! Then let your bag air dry over night! In the morning, if your bag is still smelly you can sprinkle baking soda inside the bag and let it sit overnight once again. This helps to absorb any excess odor!
Dirty Cleats
Every soccer player loves getting a brand new pair of cleats! Cleats go through a lot on the pitch! They survive mud, grass, and other crazy environments. Sometimes they survive but don’t look pretty at all! One life hack that can drastically help to clean your cleats is a simple mixture. Laundry detergent and water can help take stains and mud off of your cleats. Apply this mixture to your cleats with a wash cloth, you will immediately see the difference!
Learning New Skills
The last life hack is learning new skills! Often times a new skill can be hard and frustrating to learn. The biggest piece of advice I can give you is focus and practice this new skill over and over! New skills don’t come easy without a lot of practice. Another option to learning a new skill is record yourself doing it. This might sound odd but if you record yourself you can see where your messing up. Then it will be easier to correct these small errors. The last thing you need to do is stay motivated to learn the skill! Don’t give up when it gets hard. Push through and keep training to be the best you can be!
I hope you enjoyed these life hacks. Next month I will write about cool and different hair styles to wear in a pinch! Stay tuned!
