Winter break was a very eventful break for many students. There were Christmas, New Years, and other personal events that took place.

During the break, many Redwood students have acquired new favorite shows and new binges. Whether it be a new horror movie or a new drama show, every student’s binge is equally important.

Layney Stephens, ’27, had relaxed break. She said ” honestly it was pretty boring, I didn’t do much.” She also added that she was ready to come back.

When asked what it felt like being back in school, she said, “Honestly, I’m pretty happy about it. I got bored, I feel like three weeks was too long [for a break].”

She was then asked if she binge watched anything over break, and she said yes. One of the shows she mentioned was 911.

When asked if she would recommend it to other people, she says, “It depend on what they’re into, because it’s a show about 911 calls, and it’s based off of true 911 calls so it shows all of that.”

Another show Stephens mentioned was Shameless. She says, “I would recommend it to other people, it’s funny. Just be careful who you’re watching it around.”

Christopher Cano, 24′, had a good winter break. He says he “went to the beach in Malibu and I had fun with my family. We were celebrating my uncle’s birthday.”

He adds, “I went skiing in the mountains in Colorado for a few days, but I didn’t go skiing, my family did.” Similar to Layney, Christopher also binge watched Shameless over the break.

He says he would recommend Shameless, but adds to “be careful watching it around your parents.” He also watched the Squid Game Challenge.

Cano says “I would recommend it to other people, but honestly it’s kind of boring at some times.”

Jacquelyn Alexander, ’24, had an eventful break. She says, “I went to LA and I stayed in the Baltimore Hotels, and I went to Mission Inn Riverside.” She adds, “I am excited to start my last semester of high school as a senior.”

When asked about what she watched over break, she said she watched “Emily in Paris.”

She says, “I would recommend it to other people if you like seeing different cities. It’s about how a blogger girl from America who goes to Paris and works there.”

Erika Pineda, ’25, says she had a very fun break. She says, “I went to Disneyland over winter break, it was so much fun.” She adds, “I hung out with my friends and we made gingerbread houses.”

She says, “I was excited to come back from break because I missed my friends.” She continues, “I watched a bunch of Young Sheldon, it’s a really funny show.

She adds, “I think Sheldon, the main character, is really funny and it’s a nice show that you can watch with your family.”

These are some of the many shows that Rangers binge watched over break. They sure found a way to keep themselves occupied during our three week break.
