All year-round trends come and go, but every season has its designated trend. Fall has just begun, which means it’s time for this year’s new fall look. Redwood students share their predictions for the future of this autumn’s latest trends.

Everyone has their own fashion preferences, and for some, it can vary within months. Students at Redwood don’t share the same style, but they do have their own taste in fashion.

From decked head to toe in thousands of eye-catching patterns to a subtle everyday outfit. It’s no secret that students on campus have their likes and dislikes towards certain fashion trends.

One of the major factors that plays a major role in the fashion industry is social media and influencers.

Many students on campus adopt fashion trends that first appeared on social media platforms.

For others, their appearance is influenced by their favorite celebrity or popular culture.

It’s well known that the majority of people have been influenced into purchasing new items because a celebrity was spotted wearing the same piece.

This leaves students wondering what fall outfits will look like this year.

Students at Redwood will be giving their predictions on what they think will be this year’s fall fashion trends.

“Well, my dress style is like grunge Y2K, with silver jewelry accents. My makeup is darker and appears more feminine, particularly in terms of my eyes and lips. What I really aspire to is a classic dark feminine look with a nice kitten heel/pump, as that style is more compelling to me; however, it is more complicated to keep up with. I also inspire the philosophy of not repeating outfits in a period of time.”

Pena 27′ gives her perspective on what she would like to see in the fashion community soon.

“What I would like to see trending this fall is heeled boots, either ankle/calf high. Or really any boots that give off that fall vibe over some ripped/normal skinny jeans. But if the boots are slipper boots, then, like over sweats/leggings, it would be cute too. Other things I would like to see trending this year include a layered look. So like a tighter base layer with some cropped or baggier top layers in fall vibes. I would love to bring back 2016 fall aesthetic stuff.”

Brenda Moran Nunez, ’27, shares how she sees herself in fashion

“I dress comfortably and just wear whatever I have in my closet because I don’t really care about how I dress at school.”

Moran ’27 gives her predictions on what will be trending this fall.

I think this fall we’ll see a lot of people wearing brown and just a lot more warmer colors. And I think more people will be wearing baggy hoodies with sweatpants soon. I just think people will wear more baggy and comfortable clothes as the fall weather starts.”

As the leaves begin to change and the cooler days settle in, one thing is clear: Redwood students are ready to embrace fall fashion in their own unique ways.

Whether it’s the return of grunge, cozy layered looks, or simply dressing for comfort. This season is all about personal expression.

With social media and pop culture continuing to shape style choices, the halls of Redwood are sure to be filled with a diverse mix of trends that reflect both individuality and the spirit of the season.
