The Rangers return once again to the most anticipated football game in town this Friday night, where they will head to Golden West High School to play against the 6-1 Trailblazers.
Redwood comes in on a 4-game winning streak and is now 2-0 in league play. Jimmie Burk, ’25, continues his unnatural senior campaign, with 971 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns to date. He is complemented by the Ranger passing attack, featuring a trio of Jairus Brooks, ’28, Oliver Richardson, ’27, and Cash Lovenburg, ’27. Brooks and Richardson share almost identical stat lines, with the sophomore Brooks having more receptions, 18, while Richardson leads in receiving yards with 249, and touchdowns with 4. Lovenburg trails just behind with 15 receptions for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Trailblazers come in with a supreme air raid offense, with Jayden Najera racking up over 2,018 passing yards and 25 touchdowns over the season. The receiving core goes deep with Isaac Oceguera having 875 receiving yards and Cadillac Pina trailing with 351 and 4 touchdowns. Adrian Huerta rounds it out with 299 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Ranger defensive line has racked up 17 sacks over its campaign. Landon Guenter, ’27, leads with 4.5, and Noel Gonzalez, ’27, trails with 3. The secondary complements with 10 interceptions, and 4 courtesy of Brody Preisendorf, ’26, and London Butler, ’27.

Golden West’s defense counters with 13.5 sacks amassed. Riley Collins leads the line with 5, and Ethan Ramirez trails with 2.5. The defensive backs group has caught 7 interceptions and will try to continue against the more run-heavy Redwood offense.
Kickoff is at 7:00 PM tonight at Gropetti Stadium.
