The Rangers will face Mt. Whitney on Friday, November 1st at 6:30PM at the Mineral King Bowl for the annual Cowhide game. The game is the talk of the week and the talk of the town. With a volume speaking win from El Diamante from this past week, the Rangers have no worries and tons of confidence going into Cowhide.

The Rangers will be on the away side, but there is no doubt they will bring the energy.

Middle linebacker #33 Matt Soto, ’26, says, “We are really hyped. I’m excited, very excited to see what happens and its an intresting thing the whole week, it’s just a whole lot of fun and the whole week revolves around the game and it’s just nice to see the whole school involved and getting into the Cowhide spirit.”

Defensive end #51 Cristian Moreno, ’25, says, “I feel excited, I feel like we are going to take this win, win the Cowhide back and I feel really excited for this game.”

The Rangers have a game plan for the battle of the hide. They have worked out game plans and strategies leading up to tonight.

Moreno says, “Our strategies are playing with confidence. We are going in not making too much noise. They think that they’re the big dogs and they look at us like the underdogs but we are going to come out on top.”

Offensive Lineman #60 Cristian Carlos, ’25, says, “The majority of the team is just focused on killing Mt. Whitney, so that way we could get a better playoff spot and just smack them out.”

The Rangers have a few challenges however going into Cowhide, but no threats.

Soto says, “I think the biggest challenge is not letting all the people there and the activities this week get to our heads and really staying focused on the game, because at the end of the day that’s the big goal. The big focus is the game.”

Carlos says, “We are going to shut up #14 from Mt.Whitney and we are going to show them that we are the better team and we are going to win back this hide.”
