When asked about what change’s she’s waiting for in the new year Mahealani Burke, ’26, said, “How clean the bathrooms are. People ruin it a lot. Or having the bathrooms open more. Sometimes it is really inconvenient to have to walk all the way across the school to go to the bathroom.”
With new changes in Redwood’s environment, a possible improvement could be made for the school restrooms. Many students have suggestions and these could make for a better school year!
Emily Miranda, ’25, “One thing that I am changing about myself is that I’m gonna work harder towards my goal for what I plan to do after high school, because I’m a senior. I have to go to college and get everything ready for what I plan to do after school.”
Students set new goals and things they want to change for the new year and they can challenge themselves to acquire new hobbies.
“From 2024 to 2025, my mentality, because I’ve been going through stuff and just changing to do better. Like when I’m feeling down, be motivated,” said Joshua Garcia, ’28.
Having a better mindset for the new year is a common goal for everyone. Being motivated and hardworking is key for Redwood students to succeed in their goals.
“I think it would be beneficial for the school to have more parking, because there’s clearly not enough parking around campus. I think that’s part of the reason sometimes we have so many incidents out on the road,” said Mrs. Ashton
Dominic Dominguez, ’27, said, “I’m working on studying, my study habits for tests, and big projects.”
It’s essential to acknowledge that adopting effective study habits leads to improved information retention and significantly enhances test performance. By mastering these techniques, you can maximize your success and achieve your academic goals with confidence!
History and Law teacher Mr. Adam Higareda said, “The biggest thing that I’m changing about my life is I’m going to do less. Take on fewer commitments, say ‘no’ more often, and just have more time to exist.”
