On Thursday, November 16, 2023, there will be a State Send-Off for the Ranger Marching Band and Color Guard in the Mineral King Bowl at 8 p.m.
The Redwood Ranger Marching Band and Color Guard had a successful performance at the Western Band Association [WBA] Regional Championship in Kingsburg, California, on Saturday, November 11.
They placed second, with Clovis High School coming in first.
Band and Guard will perform their show one last time for Redwood before going to the State Championship in Sacramento, California, on Friday, November 18, and Saturday, November 19.
Band Director Jordan Ray said the Band’s goal is to “[medal] at the state level against some of the best bands in California.”
He says, “[Attending] is a great way to show support to our marching band and guard kids who have worked so hard since July.”
Entrance to the State Championship Send-Off is free.
