Redwood High School students attended the first Ice breaker dance at the tennis courts on August 14th 2026.
Students were provided with food trucks and drinks as well as free games, music, bleachers to sit down and an open pool to swim in.
Freshmans, Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors were all welcome to the first dance of new school year.
Redwood’s school clubs and staff helped make this dance even better, helping with organizing the food trucks, setting up the tables, and providing games.
Redwood even hired a DJ for the night, to uplift the crowd.
Freshman Alina Reyes said, “There were a bunch of people on the dance floor, it was a very fun experience, I was hanging out with a lot of my friends.”
Graisyn Wright, ’30, said “I saw people dancing, there was a circle and people were just like getting pushed in there and everyone was actually having fun.”
“My first experience was fun and while I was there, I sat around, watched my friends swim, and I ate some food and danced,” said Wright.
Harlow Lovenburg, ’30, freshman said ” I saw many people dance, It was really fun.”
These Redwood students had nothing else but good things to say about attending their first Ice breaker dance at Redwood. The majority of Redwood students are excited for the next dance.
