On Friday, December 1, 2023, Redwood High School introduced “Rangers Rise Together.”
”Rangers Rise Together” is a confidential support form designed to assist students in need.
The form’s description reads, “We understand that life can present unexpected challenges, and we want you to know that support is available for you. If you find yourself in need of food, clothing, or any form of assistance, we invite you to sign up for our confidential support program.”
Associated Student Body [ASB] Director Haily Aston says, “A few weeks ago, I was made aware of some students who may need support on our campus, and after discussing with other Redwood staff what we could do to help meet our students’ needs we were able to come up with the idea.”
Students can request the following items by filling out a Google Form:
Food
- Groceries
- Meal vouchers
Clothing
- Shirts
- Pants/Jeans
- Shoes
- Winter coat
- Socks
Hygiene supplies
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste/Mouthwash/Floss
- Soap (bar or liquid)
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Deodorant
- Pads and tampons
- Hairbrush/Comb
- Laundry detergent
- Towels (face, hand, and bath)
“There will be no questions asked and no requirements,” Aston says. “We simply want their needs to be met.”
Students will have the opportunity to pick up the items whenever they are comfortable.
ASB is accepting donations. Students can drop items off to room 31 or Mrs. Tomola in the office.
“Remember, reaching out is a sign of strength, and we are here to support you every step of the way,” the form’s description reads.
