Luke Sanchez, ’26, completed 7 out of 17 passes for 71 yards and two interceptions, though he made up for it on the ground as he rushed for 69 yards averaging over four yards per carry.

The running game did exceptional as well, as Jimmie Burk, ’26, who already has 1,042 total scrimmage yards and 15 total touchdowns, rushed for 71 yards on 17 carries and rushing for two touchdowns.

Burk was not the only running back to show up, as Adrian Melgar, ’27, had 9 carries for 42 yards averaging 4.7 yards per carry.

Jarius Brooks, ’28, threw a sixteen yard touchdown to fellow receiver Oliver Richardson, ’27, in a trick play.

The defense did out up interesting numbers, but the defense was the star of the show.

The Rangers had a total of five sacks through out the whole game, the leading tackler being corner back Troy Harris, ’26, with a whopping total of 10 tackles, the Ranger defense totaled 64 tackles as a whole.

There were a lot of big plays made on defense by several players, but the star of the day was Landon Guenter as he had two solo tackles, and three tackles for loss, including a game-clinching forced fumble that would sail over the pile on which would turn into a safety and secured the Rangers the win.

The Rangers will play away this week against the green school. Will Redwood keep their winning streak alive? Show up to find out!
