On Friday, November 18, 2022, Redwood High School [RHS] clubs will host a workshop to learn various coping skills after school.

The workshop is sponsored by the Tulare County Public Health Department, Schrank’s Clubhouse, City of Visalia Youth Programs, RHS Club 55, and the Latinx club.

Ambar Rodriguez, a world history teacher at Redwood, and the advisor of the RHS Latinx Club says, “The goal of the coping mechanisms is to teach students how to better take care of themselves and the importance of mental health.”

She adds, “I know the pandemic really made everybody flustered. So to have those coping mechanisms, we’ll be able to see an increase in people’s ability to deal with their mental health.”
