On November 5th, the National Honors Society held their first meeting in Ms. Forsythe’s room. The introduction was given by President, Chloe Seals, ‘25.
Starting off the meeting they held an icebreaker activity where the students asked a question to one another as a way of getting to know those around them.
Moving on from the icebreaker, Seals spoke about an Induction Ceremony, which she says is on November 20th, in the library. Seals says, “This is mandatory because this is how you become a member.”
Seals goes on to add that members are required to verify 20 service hours throughout the duration of the school year, which need to be verified by signature.
Seals talks about membership dues, a cost of $20 members are required to pay.
Seals speaks on a service project about farms reaching out and members pick fruit for the farm, this and a mention of smaller service projects to help out around the community.
