The Redwood Varsity Girls Basketball team has officially wrapped up their 2024-25 regular season. They have had a great season with great moments, but they have also had some challenges. They ended the season with a final record of 15-13 and scored 1,210 points, averaging about 43 points per game.

Jazmaine Stewart, ‘26, who led the team in most points per game and most points scored, shared her thoughts on the season. “I feel like we had a really good season. We played up to our expectations, we won against teams that we didn’t expect to win. We had a lot of fun and it was just a great season,” says Stewart.

The team reached a 6-4 record and placed 3rd in the EYL. During league play, They managed to score 482 points throughout averaging 48.2 points per game and ended EYL play against Mt. Whitney by securing a huge win with a score of 71-36.

Savannah LaRue, ’26

Savannah LaRue, ‘26, also shared her thoughts on the 2024-25 basketball season. “The season overall went good, we had our good times and we had our bad times, but it honestly depended on our work. But otherwise we did have a good season,” says LaRue.

Stewart shared how they prepared for Playoffs and stated, “Just playing as a team and being able to play defense and work on our offense. We have a really good offense so being able to apply those into the game is what’s going to help us in this game,” says Stewart.
