This Christmas season is filled to the brim with excitement and joy, as it’s the first “normal” Christmas since the pandemic lockdown where the sense of normality returns.

Redwood students are excited to share their favorite Christmas songs, and although “Jingle Bells” did not come up, the Christmas spirit still flows stronger than ever.

Reuben Contreras, ’25 shares how his favorite Christmas song is “Carol of the Bells” by Peter Wilhousky. He shares that he enjoys the rhythm and the “suspense” in both the lyrics and melody.

Some of our Rangers love the remix of many classic Christmas songs.

Margo Moore, ’25, explains how the “My Chemical Romance” cover of “All I Want For Christmas is You” is her favorite Christmas song. She reveals that, “not many people like it, but [she] like[s] their remix.”

Many of our Rangers also love the classic Christmas music because it gets them in the Christmas spirit more.

Brycen Gonzales, ’25, states how his favorite holiday song is “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms.

“[He] loves the song, and it’s really entertaining,” Gonzales says. “Helms did an awesome job composing it.”

Colton Hayes, ’25, shares that his favorite song of the season is “All I Want For Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey.

He explains that “It’s [his] favorite because [his] mom played it the most.”

“Christmas is [his] favorite season because [he] love[s] sharing the holiday with friends and family,” Hayes concludes.
