Rangers share their experience at Neon Night.

Last week, March 11th, was Neon Night for students attending the four high schools of VUSD. Spring Fling is the third dance of the school year and everyone showed up in their Neon attire.

School dances are set up entirely by the ASB teams of all the highschools. This year the Spring Fling dance took place at Mt. Whitney.

The atmosphere of dances always sets the mood and is different from dance to dance. Audrey Conley ‘26 says, “It was nice, it was very quiet there weren’t as many people at the dance, but it was nice.”

Lily Zapata ‘26 says, “It was fun! At first, it was moving kind of slowly because no one was really there, but towards the end, it was really fun.” Many dances need to get into the groove of things to officially kick it off.

Conley says, “It was a dance for people who wanted to take someone out there but were shy, it was the perfect dance for that!”

The preparation before the dance is for some what fun. Many students hangout, get ready and do something special before the dance. Lily Zapata ‘26 says, “I hung out with some of my friends, I was talking to everyone, people I knew and people I didn’t know.

Although not required students took dates as it is a dance where the girls ask the guys to the dance.

Dmytrius Dniston ‘26 says, “I hung out with my girlfriend Lydia, my friends Logan and Kris. After the dance, I went to 7/11 and bought Starburst for my girlfriend, so that was special”

Rangers had an amazing night at the dance. Spending a lot of time with their friends, and dancing the night away.

Conley says, “I was hanging out with Ben Peacock, he was my date for that night. Before the dance, my dad took me to Starbucks, and that was special because I don’t really get to spend time with him often.”
