Redwood entered the game with an excellent 14-2 record.

Although the Rangers finished with a commanding win, it wasn’t smooth sailing the entire duration of the match. Madera took the first set with a score of 25-20.

When asked how the team responded to these early struggles, outside hitter Haven Rawson ’28 noted that the team made adjustments to their setters in order to improve offensive output and build momentum.

Rawson emphasized that Head Coach Bryaunea Hall delivered a powerful message that fired the team up and motivated them to work hard and push harder.

These adjustments gave Redwood the momentum they needed. This resulted in a final score in the second set of 25-8 favoring Redwood.

The Rangers were absolutely dominant from the second set downing the Coyotes.

The 3rd set went to the Rangers with a score of 25-20, and the 4th followed suit with a score of 25-11, cementing a win for the Rangers.

Although Redwood came out on top, the players didn’t shy away from the fact that there were plenty of things that could’ve gone better or that they could improve going forward. Peyton Javaux ’28 acknowledged that she and her teammates need to work on staying strong and winning in three sets.

Rawson added to this statement, giving input on her belief that the team needs to work on not losing momentum and working hard as a team all the way through.

The Rangers walk away with a tally in the win column and a morale boost to aid the team heading into their upcoming games in the Rumble at the Rock tournament.
