Max Maryanow, ’28, or Magical Max, loves performing in front of people and it was fun to do magic and give many people the experience of the wild of magic.
He has done magic for a year and a half. He got into magic because in middle school choir, they went to Disneyland every year. At Disney, with the extra money that his grandmother gave him, Max decided to go to the magic store, and the rest is history. What inspires Max to do magic in the first place is getting to amaze people and being able to spread joy to other people.
Max’s advice to the people who want to do magic as well is, “Do not watch YouTube to do magic, and read magic books instead and join the Magic club!”
For this week’s doodle, Emilio says:
“When Max did his cards with the volunteers, I saw the beautiful magician do beautiful stuff, it was like he was carrying pixie dust.”
We asked, “What was your inspiration for this Magical Max piece?”
Emilio said, “It was the Icebreaker dance, I saw Max doing card tricks with a teacher … he did an amazing job, so that’s where my inspiration struck.”
Emilio says, “It’s really beautiful, and I wish him the best of luck.”
