Let’s get one thing clear, Redwood Gigantea’s sports section loves Ranger sports. They tell Redwood athletic’s stories better than anyone. They get the interviews that matter and dig deep to share all things RHS athletics.
But reporting about athletes is WAY different than being one.
Until Friday, March 15th, 2024, Los Journalistos have never won a Buff Ball game. Ever. In the history of the tournament.
That all changed. Los Journalistos finished their ‘season’ with a 2-1 record. Their final game was a 22-20 loss to some of Redwood’s best actual athletes on ‘Da Monkees’ (who had a first round bye, by the way).
Under the leadership of coaches Brooke Hacker and Emma Jenan, Los Journalistos saw great gameplay.
Lucas de Lima and Ryan Harris were on court leaders who rallied the squad though many challenges.
Beth Musto, clubs editor, led the Los Journalistos cheering section with the event’s only team poster.

Oh, and the ATL TrackHawks won the whole thing, but we kinda knew they would.
