Due to the Coronavirus, worldwide schools are closed until the numbers of infected people get lowered or an antidote is created. This problem leads students to have distance-learning in their homes. Schools provide students with materials for their online classes. This led to students having thoughts and opinions about the situation.

Tessa Carney, class of 24’, says that online class impacts her morning. It’s difficult for her to wake up so early in the morning. She states that it gives her more time to complete all her assignments through the day. Carney, says that the computer that she was provided with is very glitching during her classes leading her to have stress.

The advantages Carney has about distance-learning is she doesn’t need to get ready to attend school, she can eat through her classes, and school time is minimized. Carney would also prefer to attend public school because of all the memoirs she can make in person, more opportunities and fun experiences in public school.

Online school interferes with her social life because of the virus, she believes that zoom isn’t a good way to socialize with her classmates. Distance-learning is more stressful, overwhelming because they assign too much homework, wifi issues, and she is a visual learner which leads to problems in the future for school.

Nicole Candelario, class 24’, says that online class does not impact her life because  the classes are faster and easier. She doesn’t need to get ready for school. Candelario can be exhausted, bored, and distracted. The advantages she has is staying home not worrying about being late to get to school; it’s easier than public school. She would prefer to stay in online classes because she “aint tryna catch Coronavirus.”

Rocio Franco, class 24’, says her AM classes impact her morning because she’s not the type of person to wake up early for her schedule, leading her to be sleepy throughout her classes. Through her classes she doesn’t have energy, she isn’t motivated to do her class work, and she is usually hungry. Distance-learning has some advantages like not risking herself or the public from getting corona. Online school in her opinion is more challenging because she feels that she’s more independent, not having teachers remind her when assessments are due, teachers are assigning too much homework.

Alexa Vallejo, class of 25’ says that online school has helped her make a routine. Through her classes she feels that she is usually bored, and annoyed. Online classes are an advantage because of the virus to make herself safe, and classes are shorter. She wouldn’t go back to school because she actually likes the systems of online school. But, online school can be stressful because she is put in more stress because she has to teach herself the school work. She is getting challenged because she is more dependent on work that she doesn’t understand.
