The Homecoming nominee luncheon was a success. Lots of seniors had the chance to be a representative for their club and to have a shot of getting into the top 5. I had the chance to interview four of the girls who were honored and very excited to be apart of homecoming week and to be a representative.

Angel Espinoza 21’ is proud to represent link crew because she has been a part of the club for a long time. Her escort is Christian Montes 21’. Espinoza quotes, “If I made top 5, I will make t-shirts, pass out candy with messages on them, and post on social media.” Espinoza ran for homecoming queen because she wants to make senior year count, create more memories, and to have an overall fun experience. If she got top 5 she will be shocked with overflowing joy and will be honored to represent Redwood as the new homecoming queen.

Rikki Gonzales 21’ is honored to represent CSF because she loves the idea of representing academic scholars. Her escort will be Tanner Terrible 21’. If Gonzales got top 5 she quotes, “I will make sure to tell everyone that every class can vote and she will post on social media.” Gonzales is proud to represent CSF because she is representing one of the most prestigious clubs on campus. She is also glad that she is representing outstanding students. Gonzales also says, “If I don’t get top 5, it will be okay because I am in for the experience and to share memories with my friends.”

Maddy Tamayo 21’ is honored to represent the volleyball club because since it’s a new club, she is happy that people voted for her. Tamayo also likes knowing that people trust her and like her personality even if they don’t know her. Her escort will be Daniel Carreno 21’. Tamayo wanted to run because she wants to create more memories and to enjoy the senior year as much as she can. If Tamayo goes to the top 5 she quotes, “I will post on social media, make posters, and t-shirts.” Tamayo can’t wait for the homecoming assembly and she is looking forward to who will get top 5.

Emma Ide 21’ got nominated by boys swim and she will be representing Varsity girls swim and her escort will be Ali Masheal 21’. If she doesn’t get into the top 5 that’s okay because she is just hoping to enjoy homecoming and get people excited about spirit. Ide quotes, “If I got top 5 I’d make t-shirts and post on social media.” Ide is excited about the assembly, looking forward to who will make the top 5, and having the opportunity to have a fun experience.

Ide, Tamayo, Gonzales, and Espinoza are all excited for Homecoming week spirit days, the Homecoming Friday night football game, Redwood Ranger spirit, and the memories to come.
