2026 Redwood High School has introduced Agritech as a new shop class, and with the new class came a new teacher, Mr. Molina for his first year here at Redwood.

Mr. Molina is teaching the AgriTech class (which is brand new to Redwood in 2026) which covers topics from agriculture here in the valley, the basics of woodworking, and eventually flying drones for the future of where agriculture may go.

He said that he wanted to, “Start new, from the very beginning, start building up the skills and hopefully get into some automation, some more advanced electrical work and maybe some drones.”

With AgriTech being brand new; that had to come with some nerves, but Mr. Molina is feeling confident, saying that he believes all students are capable of learning new skills through practice.

When asked about how Mr. Molina is feeling for his first year teaching he said, “Im feeling pretty good about it, its going pretty smooth so far, I have really good classes, I’m excited.”

Mr. Molina is also involved with Redwood’s campus culture as he is one of the advisors for the Future Farmers of America (FFA) club and guides the FFA student members staying involved through helping them with their journey.

In FFA, Mr. Molina helps guide the members participating in Career Development Events (CDE) such as citrus judging and Leadership Development Events (LDE) like public speaking.

When asked what brought Mr. Molina to teaching at Redwood he said, “I really fell in love with teaching in college, I was helping out with CDE, LDE teams, judging teams and getting to really hang out with the students…and getting to see them excited about [Agriculture]”

Back on the FFA side of things, this year the club is introducing meat judging as an event members can participate in where the participants judge the quality of the meat, the condition, what makes the class of 4 great. Mr. Molina is the advisor that will be leading the new event.

Mr. Molina’s first year has come with lots of new, welcome introductions to Redwood campus. Mr. Molina has been doing great so far and its only a matter of time before he becomes a beloved teacher for students all over campus.

This is my second year in journalism, I write for Arts & Entertainment and I am the assistant editor for the beat and really enjoy my job. I am very excited to write lots of stories this year and get involved deeper into my work. I want to challenge myself to write more stories than last year. All in all, Journalism has been such a great opportunity for me and I want to commit myself to it.
