To All The Boys I Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You came out Wednesday February 12th. This movie has been the talk of the school this past week. And thanks to all the chatter about the movie, I had to watch it.
This teen romance/comedy was a follow up to, “To All the Boys I Loved Before” and it features Lara Jean played by Lana Condor and Peter Kavinsky played by Noah Centineo. Their relationship starts out strong, but soon follows a rocky path once John Ambrose McClaren played by Jordan Fisher returns Lara Jean’s love letter.
Lara Jean continues to question her relationship with Peter and imagines what her relationship would have been like with John Ambrose. John Ambrose comes into town and volunteers at the same program as Lara Jean does, and they continue to build their relationship and feelings for each other. Meanwhile, Peter wonders why Lara Jean has been so quiet around him.
Lara Jean has not told Peter about John Ambrose coming back into town and she gradually realizes how Peter and Gen (Peter’s ex-girlfriend) have been hanging out more often. Lara Jean drifts away from Peter and develops her relationship with John Ambrose.
They continue to grow closer but eventually Lara Jean finds her way back to her one true love, Peter Kavinsky. Peter soon enough tells the real reason why he and Gen have been hanging out a lot and Lara Jean forgives him. And, Lara Jean tells the truth of how John Ambrose is in town and they have been hanging out at the volunteer program to help the elderly. Peter forgives Lara and now understands why she has been so quiet lately.
This movie ends happily as Lara and Peter stay together after all they have gone through. The message of this movie is, “Honesty and being able to fight through the tough times is key to having a healthy and solid relationship.”
This is a good romance movie to watch with your loved ones during the month of love.
