With another win, men’s soccer moves on to the second round of Playoffs.

The Rangers have kept their momentum going with another hard fought win. They now go on to their second playoff game. The Rangers are confident and prepared for the opponents that they will be facing next.

Their game plan seems to be solid and they’re not holding back. Angel Montes, ’23 says, “It’s all about what happens before the game. We need to stretch well, remain hydrated, and get our mindset right.”

He adds, “We’re a lot faster, stronger, and the main thing is that we don’t give up. We always play to the whistle.”

Ambrose Bueno, ‘23 says, “[The team] need[s] to focus on communication and sending the ball out wide.”

Bueno feels confident in his team, and believes that they will move on in the playoffs and get another win on the 18.

The team will be kicking off Round 2 of playoffs against the WYL Champions known as Golden West. The only team to beat them was Redwood.

Bueno says, “The Redwood Rangers soccer team is a better team overall, and is filled with all-around athletes.”

Today, Februrary 18 at 6pm, men’s soccer will be facing Golden West High School for the third time this season at the Groppetti Stadium. Tickets must be purchased online at GoFan.
