This year’s Mr. Ranger nominees are an exciting selection to vote for!
Magnus Burgess, Jorge Verduzco, Jesse Zetino, Matthew Soleno, and Jalon Wilkerson are our selections for Mr. Ranger, for the 2024 school year!
Mr. and Mrs. Ranger Week is a traditional week that happens at Redwood every year, symbolizing our Ranger pride!
All nominees felt that getting picked was unexpected and were very surprised.
Jorge Verduzco ‘24 was nominated by Hip-Hop club. He says he’s going to try to win by “going all out on dress up days and Lunch Time Activities.” It seems he wants to dress to impress!
Jalon Wilkerson ‘24 was nominated by the Black Student Union club and says, “it means a lot to me. I think it's cool putting your name in Redwood history.”
Magnus Burgess ‘24 who is the president of the Breakfast club and was nominated by it, says he plans on doing the same thing. Burgess says Ranger Week means “so much to collaborate with others to do other activities together, and build relationships.”
Verduzco says, “Ranger week is a tradition I’m excited to be a part of.”
There is much to be excited for this week! Competing with other nominees and battling against them during lunch activities are fun things nominees get to do.
Jesse Zetino ‘24 was nominated by Avid. He says, “everyone in my class said they were going to nominate me and it happened, so now I’m top 5.”
Being top 5 is exciting and a great way to close off senior year by winning or just being nominated.
Verduzco says if he wins, he will “grab some grub,” as will the other nominees if they win!
