Party buses are being ordered, table reservations are being made, nail salons are packed and barber shops are buzzing all in preparation for the first school dance of the year. Harvest is October 13th this year and will be  hosted at Golden West High School in their gym. The tickets are sold the week of dance located in the finance center.

Anessa Merrill 20′ explains how she gets ready, “I usually shop for my dress, find the right pair shoes, schedule my hair and makeup appointments closest to a time that can fit into my busy schedule for the day since we have pictures to take, reservations ,and still have to spare enough time to make it to the actual dance” .

There are lots of steps that have to be taken in order to get ready for dances. Not only do you need to find matching colors for yourself but also have to make sure your date matches perfectly too. Finding matching colors that are exactly the same can be a struggle and most end up switching colors. Also, lots of money is being put into dresses, makeup and hair appointments, etc.

Although if you budget well enough you’ll be able to save some money with having a bigger group for example. Instead of having to split big costs among little people more people could help take down the cost.

Harvest is an affordable dance for most people and if you aren’t planning on going you should , you can’t miss out! Even if you don’t have a date, go with your friends!
