He states, “He just creates a really fun and inviting environment for the team every day.” Phillips credits Fuller to, “always making me do my best, not many coaches have been able to do that.” Phillips explains that this season especially, the constant coach motivation has led a portion of them to swimmers to cut time! Phillips explains that even though swimming might be viewed as a pretty individual sport, you still need that bit of chemistry to really push each of the swimmers to do their very best. I have had such amazing parent support, staff support, and constant batches of top notch athletes that have kept me going this long.” When asked about being a mentor to his swim team, Fuller replies, “Hearing that makes me proud. I just try to teach them hard work and good ethic.
