On Monday, March 25, Kaden Sorenson took the hill for the Rangers Varsity team against Tulare Union. As soon as he threw the first pitch, he was in complete control. He pitched 4.2 no-hit innings, and the no-no was foiled when #14 got a base hit into center. In desperation, Hunter Bryan tried to field it but the ball went right past him, breaking up the no-hitter. Thankfully, that was the only hit TU could put up against Sorensen, as he went on to throw a “one-hitter.”
Redwood would ultimately drive in the game winner after Hunter Bryan would smash a line drive into left, giving Redwood a 1-0 lead. Ryan Rios, Nick Lopez, and Sam Bower all achieved two hits each. Redwood had no fielding errors whatsoever! After that, the game finally ended with, 1-2 count, #13 grounds out to second, Redwood wins 10-0, after an 8 run 6th inning!
Redwood won 10-0 on 10 runs, 12 hits, and no errors. TU took the L, on 0 runs, 1 hit, and two errors.
