Kiersten is a very busy person. She almost does everything here, around campus. She’s involved with Redwood’s Advanced Orchestra, is playing basketball for the school, and is involved in numerous clubs. If you see Kiersten around school, don’t hesitate to say hi because she’s doing big things!

In her free time, she likes to “Practice my violin, paint, and clean my room, but sometimes not finish since I get bored easily.” On the topic of orchestra, she’s been playing the violin since fifth grade. She’s a part of Redwood’s Advanced Orchestra, she also is a part of the COS Symphony, and is soon going to audition for the TKMEA Honor Orchestra. In addition to all of this, she recently has been taking private lessons!

Kiersten is in both, Honors Math and English. She says, “I don’t think it’s that hard. I work hard which makes it easier.” To manage her time she, “Does the stuff I don’t want to do first. I prioritize.” What she dislikes about being in Honors classes the most is, “Writing essays, that’s it.” Her favorite thing about being in Honors classes is, “It challenges me and gets me ready for college.” On a side not, her favorite subjects are math and chemistry. Kiersten has a growth mindset, she always strives to better than she was yesterday, she doesn’t stop until she’s finished, and she never gives up when things get hard.

Coming into the topic of basketball, she has been playing since kindergarten, but actually started to enjoy it and become competitive in 4th grade. She’s planning on doing basketball and track this year. She’s also involved in FBLA, FCA, Interact, LIVE 2 FREE, Ski, CSF, and Spikeball Club!! Does this girl have time to breathe?

Kiersten goes to Grace Community Church, she works with two and three year-olds on some Sundays and is involved in church small groups (which is held on Wednesdays), and high school ministry. In addition, she goes on trips, camps, missions, and retreats.

Lastly, Kiersten’s goals after high school is, “I want to go to a 4-year University, or go on a missions trip somewhere along the way.” Also, a couple “get-to-know” questions, Kiersten believes the chicken came first and that water is neither wet or dry, “Maybe we should get to know the water first.” Overall, Kiersten is an extremely hard worker, and wants to get involved and be a part of everything possible.
