How to Make a TuTu
Are you looking for an interesting and stylish accessory to show off your school spirit? Well look no further. You can learn how to make your very own tutu in just a couple simple steps!
Materials you’ll need
- 1-2 rolls of Tulle
- Elastic (½ -1 inch thick)
Step 1
Cut the tulle twice the length you want it. Tulle on the spool is about 6 inches wide.
Step 2
Tie a piece of elastic around your waist, then take it off. Make sure it isn’t too tight that it’s uncomfortable, but not too loose that it falls off.
Step 3
Roll a piece of poster paper into a tube that matches your waist measurement. This is to make a sturdy base to make your tutu on.
Step 4
Fold a piece of tulle in half and slide it under the elastic.
Step 5
Thread long ends of the tulle down through the loop. Keep adding more strips of tulle until the elastic is full.
Step 6 Take the tutu off the base and trim any unevenness. Now you have an awesome tutu!
