Redwood High School will host its 2024 Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mineral King Bowl.

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Redwood High School will graduate 542 seniors.
The Commencement Ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. The entrance will be located on Giddings Avenue. The gates will open at 6 p.m.
There are no restrictions on the number of guests. Seats cannot be reserved ahead of time, with the exception of handicapped seating. Handicap seating requests must be emailed to Alexa Barba-Tepper at abarba@vusd.org by Friday, May 24.
Senior Information
Graduation Day (Thursday, May 30)
The Senior Breakfast will be from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in the cafeteria
At 7:45 a.m., students will leave the cafeteria and go to the Mineral King Bowl for the mandatory ceremony practice. Practice starts at 8 a.m.
If students do not attend, they will not walk in the Commencement Ceremony.
Graduation Night
Graduates must be inside the gymnasium at 6 p.m. in their cap and gown. Staff will check for appropriate attire before they can enter. Parents are not allowed in the gymnasium.
Dress Code
Students can wear:
- Collared shirts
- Dress shoes
- Dress slacks (black jeans are allowed)
- Dresses
- Rompers
- Cultural/Military sashes
Students cannot wear:
- Flip Flops
- Sandals
- Birkenstocks
- Shorts
- Other distracting accessories
Caps can be decorated, but the decoration must be 2-dimensional, within the boundaries of the cap, and school-appropriate.
Expected Behavior
Cell phones, purses, balloons, noise makers, sunglasses, flowers, leis, money necklaces, and similar items are not allowed.
All students will be subject to a “friendly frisk” upon entering the gym. Students found to have prohibited may be removed from the ceremony.
Diplomas will be handed out after the ceremony at the west end of the stadium.
Students are expected to follow school guidelines and the conduct code. If students violate the VUSD conduct code during the ceremony, diplomas can be pulled.
