One of the reasons that Winter Sports doesn’t get much attendance throughout the season, is because a large amount of the games are played during that three week period you’re on break. Therefore, many people forget about Winter Sports in the first place, and they must be told about the big games, and how the season is going. Here’s what happened:
The girls played seven games over the break, and went 4-3 in that span, which may be the reason for them being placed 4th in the Central Section DII playoff rankings. They are currently 15-5 on the year, with a schedule strength of 5.8. The third place team is Garces Memorial with a record of 15-4, and a strength of 7.2. Finally, the #1 Overall team is Bakersfield, with a record of 16-2, and a strength of 9.4. Their last game over the break was played on January 11, which ended in a final of 61-44, in Hanford’s favor. Overall, they played pretty decent over the break, hopefully, they can play even better, now that their fans will have a better chance of coming out and supporting them!
