Enrique Seguira, ‘26, Link crew president said, “I feel really great. It’s been a really fun four years, but I’m excited for college and everything after.”

The feeling is pretty mutual amongst the seniors, a bittersweet feeling of goodbye but the exciting nature of what’s next to come.

Sophia Diaz, ‘26, Associated Student Body (ASB) president says, “I’m generally excited because I feel like I should have graduated a while ago. So I’m excited but nervous because as president, I do give the welcome to the incoming freshman.”

Seniors are passing the torch to the next group of students, passing on traditions, and school spirit. They will always be Redwood Rangers, but the time is approaching for the next steps.

Elle Pinheiro, ‘26, the 2025 Homecoming Queen said, “its kind of a bittersweet moment because I’m very excited and proud of all the work that myself and my class has accomplished this year, but it’s crazy to think that we’re all going to be going separate ways and going different places, starting out own adventures.”

It’s safe to say that every senior in their own way is ready to graduate, it’s a tough goodbye to the place that’s been home for four years, but they are all ready for what adventure comes next.

Logan Escobar, ‘26, says, ”I can’t wait for graduation to get here. It can’t get here any slower.”

But before senior year ends there are a number of events that students are looking forward to in their last semester in high school.

Elena Leon, ‘26, said, “I’m really looking forward to prom and my Disney trip with Orchestra.”

With Grad Night, Prom, Spring Break, and sports championships Seniors have a lot to look forward to.

Jason Macdonald, ‘26, said, “I’m honestly pretty excited about grad night. I think it will be pretty fun to get to go to Disneyland with all your friends and hang out.”

As Redwood says goodbye, Seniors take their next step, so what comes next for the Class of ‘26?

Joey Abbott, ’26 says, “I’m gonna serve a mission for my church for two years. I’m not sure where yet.”

The class of 2026 has big things coming next for them, from serving on a mission, getting a job, and getting ready for college.

Elena Leon, ‘26, said, “I plan to get my bachelors in biochemistry, so I can apply to a school of pharmacy.”

Before we get too ahead of ourselves, here is what seniors are planning for graduation, other than walking across the stage and getting their diploma.

Diaz says, “I definitely plan on finding something nice to wear, and I’m going to decorate my cap. The next day I plan on having a party with my family and friends.”

Grad parties and graduation day brunches, the Senior class of 2026 has a lot left before they say goodbye.

Nathan Delgado, ’26, Homecoming King said,”I’m thinking about majoring in Vocal performance and musical education or even going into the medical field,”

There is a lot to look forward to in the upcoming years after graduation, the class of 2026, their lives are starting and Redwood cant wait to see where they go.

Benjamin Flora, ’26, says, “I plan to move to Ohio and attend community college for 2 years then transfer to Ohio state.”

Rangers are leaving home and going far and wide, Redwood will miss them but is proud to see where they go and what they do next.
