This year Redwood brought in tons of new students. The Redwood Gigantea took some time to go talk to a couple of our new students and get their opinion on the school year so far.

Raja Shouman ’22 said, “[I love] how nice everyone is and how energetic it is here. I was expecting to not really fit in, because I’m a freshman and don’t know a lot of people but everyone’s so nice!”

  • Elise Hyde and Sydney Brammer ’22

Elise Hyde ’22 said, “My favorite part of Redwood is playing volleyball because my teammates are awesome and their funny and very nice and I love the competitive energy!” “I like all my teaches so far, their really nice.”

Sydney Brammer, ’22: “I wasn’t expecting all my teachers to be super chill and awesome!” “I also like hanging out with all my friends during lunch and in class!”

  • Izzy Velero and Bryson Bridges ’22

Izzy Valero, ’22: “[Coming into high school I was expecting] people to be really mean, like stereotypical high school kids but it was actually really nice, I really like it here at Redwood…you get much more club choices and meet new people!”
