Two weeks ago we had our freshmen election for President and Vice President. It was a good race between all of the candidates. Brielle Alvarez gathered up her crew and they worked together to win her spot as President!

Alayla Ayala also had her group of supports help carry her into the victory of winning Vice President!

Here are a few thoughts and comments Brielle has about her winning the election.

Brielle Alvarez (Freshmen President)

Q. What are your goals for this year as President?

A. To make freshmen heard.

Q. How did you prepare for the election?

A. I got all of my friends together, made a team, and told them what we will be doing- to be leaders.

Q. Were you confident in winning the election?

A. Yes, very.

Can’t forget about our amazing Vice President! Here is what Alayla has to say about what she will be doing in office this year.

Q. What inspired you to run for Vice President?

A. My mom, older sister, and friends inspired me.

Q. What’s your biggest goal while in office?

A. To make Redwood better for my peers and I.

Q. How are you planning on representing freshmen?

A. By being a good example and by making sure all of us know the spirit/dress up days and activities around campus to be able to participate! I will continue to communicate, reach out, and be courteous to all students.
