The winners are:
Top Talent: Aanchal Singh
Standing Ovation: Robert Trejo
Most Creative: David Mendez
Aanchal Singh ’23 performed an Indian Punjabi Folk Dance. Singh has been dancing since she was two years old.
Singh says, “It felt amazing both before and during my performance. I wanted to participate in the talent show because I always have been participating in talent at my schools since I was little.”
“No matter what talent you have, show it off. It can give you so many opportunities and maybe even be something you are passionate about in the future,” says Singh.
Robert Trejo ’24 solved a Rubik’s cube blindfolded on stage.
Trejo says, “It was kinda shocking [performing in the talent show] because I didn’t expect that many people in the audience to know who I was or to be that excited about something that I don’t find exciting as much anymore.”
Trejo has been solving the Rubik’s cube for many years, and it was “something [he] started for fun.”
“Before the actual performance, I was definitely nervous because I was afraid I might mess up, but once I got on stage, I accepted that If I mess up, it’ll still be good,” he says. I did end up messing up, but even after that, it already happened, so it was nothing to be embarrassed about.”
David Mendez ’25 described what perfect pitch was and demonstrated it to the audience.
“I felt pretty good [winning most creative]. I honestly thought I wouldn’t win because since it’s a rare ability not many people have, but many people thought it was impressive,” says Mendez.
