Emilio Basilio Salvador ’25 is a Cartoonist of Redwood Gigantea. He loves to draw stories for the Redwood culture and tells stories behind the drawings that Emilio drew.

How it started

It all started back in March of 2024, Before he became a Cartoonist, he did his first ever animated film “The Gift” and later went viral in the number of 200 today. before school ended for the summer, he wanted to go to Journalism class because he enjoys writing stories since back in middle school. He ended up going to Journalism class which is the greatest decision he ever made.

How he became a Cartoonist

While Emilio was working on a story for Journalism class, he heard from the teacher, Mr. Nick Miller, that the classroom needed a Cartoonist for the program called “Redwood Gigantea” He wanted to do it since Freshman when he saw drawing on the newspaper. he then raised his hand and said that he would do it and then got a tablet for him to draw and get started. and with that, “Ranger Doodles” was born and posted a first drawing of the Gigantea on September 6, 2024.

He’s still drawing to this day.

He was practicing to do digital art every day and started drawing not only to share art to school, but to share joy and love to the students and teachers. he loves to spread kindness and joy and was always there to lighten up the mood for the events and for the every day post. He still draws to this day.
