Savannah Torres ’23, ASB President, and Keira Griffiths, ASB Vice-President, ’23, leave the future President and Vice advice to guide them through the 2023-24 school year.
By Megan Yang
Savannah Torres, ASB President
Dear future ASB President,
“I hope that you go all out for the school and set an example of what it’s like to be a leader. Hopefully, you embarrass yourself, so others feel more comfortable stepping outside of their comfort zone to show school spirit. Some advice I want to give to the future ASB President is to have full confidence in what you’re doing because you are going to be a big target to everyone. You just have to keep doing what you’re doing and be a bigger person. There’s a lot of weight you have to carry, but it will be all worth it in the end. Just keep your head up under pressure because you’re the face of what’s going on with ASB. If you make a mistake, no matter what, if you’re working hard, ASB is also working hard.”
Keira Griffiths, ASB Vice-President
Dear future ASB Vice-President,
“I just want to say good luck, and I hope you carry out the amazing tradition of Redwood and bring life like we have in the past. I would like to always say, just stay true to your heart as a Ranger, try your best, and do whatever you feel is best for the campus. Sticking to your gut and trusting your instincts is something I had to learn how to do. Also, if you have an idea, just go for it because every time I have done that, it’s done amazing things for Redwood. It’s a really big job, but I’m sure whoever gets it will do an amazing job because we have had amazing leaders in the past. I hope that they think of me when they do their ASB Vice-President duties for the next school year.”
