CSF Application Week

During the week of August 30-September 3, the College Scholarship Federation (CSF) holds the annual application drive.

While Redwood High School meets for in-person learning, the CSF meetings will be held virtually like last year.

To apply for CSF, students must go to CSF Advisor and Honors English 1 Teacher Mrs. Cheatwood in room 108 and pick up an application form.

With this, students will use their grades from the previous school semester to fill out the form and apply.

To turn this application in, students must bring along an unofficial transcript found in PowerSchool, and five dollars.

The transcript may be printed at home or in the library before school, during lunch, or after school.

Students may also pre order this year’s CSF shirt for 10$ in room 108.

More information and updates for this club can be found when joining the club’s remind by texting @rhscsf2021 to 81010.

While freshmen are not yet eligible to apply, freshmen are still welcomed to come to meetings each month and then apply in the second semester.

Leena Aziz ‘23 is one of this year’s junior associates. Aziz advises those hoping to join, “keep up your grades so you can join every semester because it’s definitely worth it!”

Brynlee Rasmussen ‘22 is serving as this year’s 2021-2022 Redwoods CSF President. Rasmussen has been involved in this club for 4 years, being a junior associate in the 2020-2021 school year.

Rasmussen emphasizes the importance of this fun and rigorous club for different individuals around the campus.

Brynlee Rasmussen continues by saying, “I would invite all freshmen or anyone who hasn’t signed up yet to sign up for CSF, it’s a really great club, it shows that students like to strive for academics and scholarships as well.”

Emma Sanchez-Flores ‘23 is a junior who has been an active member of CSF since her freshman year.

Sanchez says that CSF has, “impacted me for the better, making me a more well rounded person.”
