The Class That Changed Culture: Band Seniors Reflect on Historic School Year
As the school year ends, it’s time for many to take a look back on the year and reflect. The same goes for the band students. This year has been historic for the Redwood High School Band. From placing 4th at WBA 4A State Championships for marching season, to making open class for winter drums the band has truly had a good year. The class of ‘23 has had quite a year and they now have some time to reflect on their 4 years in the Redwood Music Department.

Xander Caballero: A Redwood Musician
Redwood is home to many music programs and from these programs have come amazing musicians. The music programs at Redwood High School have changed lives and opened new doors for so many students, past and present. From the band to the orchestra to even the choir classes, there is no shortage of truly talented musicians here at Redwood.

Redwood Winter Percussion makes Open Class this Season
After the marching season, the Redwood High School’s marching percussion carries on with competitions throughout the school year, but instead of stadiums and fields, they compete in gyms and indoor arenas.

Jazz Band Mesmerizes 8th Graders with Their Tunes
On Thursday, February 16th the 8th graders from the VUSD middle schools came to visit Redwood for the annual 8th grade visit. Many performing groups are out in the Mineral King Bowl performing for the 8th graders as they walk in, groups such as Dance Force, cheer, drama, and band were out performing.
