On March 19th, the first season match for boys golf is held at Valley Oaks Golf Course. The first practice was on January 21, where they go to Visalia Country Club and Valley Oaks Golf Course, and the boys have been working hard for the upcoming season.
“The goal for this year is to win WYL for the second straight year and qualify for Division 1 Championship. ”

In order for the boys to accomplish this years goals, coach Lonnie de Asis says, “they are going continue practicing golf skills along with working on team course management.”
With the team consists of 24 boys, top 12 including Jack Peters ’21, Zackary Hidalgo ’21, and Justin Johnson ’21. While the other developing 12 include Nathan Duncan ’22, Roan Morgan ’22, and Brock Robertson ’23.

In order to mentally prepare for this season, Hidalgo ’21, says that he prepares at practice. The team has tournament like situations at practice and the golfers try to competitive atmosphere.
Hildago says, “Coach Lonnie always has a positive attitude.” Hildago explains that Coach Lonnie gives them a target number to shoot for so they have something to improve to each and every day.
Overall, the boys Golf is looking at another great season. Come out and support our boy’s at their first match at Valley Oaks golf course.
