Just in time for Prom, a few Redwood students have started businesses to aid in their passions.
Priscilla Dominguez ‘25 has a business here at Redwood selling eternal roses, which roses made out of satin material, dressed in a fancy bouquet. She’s named her business Bouquets by Pris.
Lily-Rose Zapata ‘26 also sells eternal roses, but her business has more variety because she also sells strawberries, churros, and real flowers. Her business is called Lily Rose Flower Co.
Both businesses can be found on Instagram and other social media platforms.
Priscilla was inspired to start her business from “how pretty they look. They’re so pretty and I wanted to start making them because of characters like Cinderella, Ariel, or Snow White or just something like Disney. I liked how they looked.”
Priscilla was inspired to start her business after wanting her schedule and timing, allowing her to have a job while still enjoying the things she loves.
With the help of her friends and family, she started making these bouquets in her free time, using her creativity to bring a caring touch to each one.
Around campus, Priscilla has put up informational posters about how to contact herself and her business if students or staff would like to buy.
Genesis Zavaleta ’26 shared her experience as a customer of “Bouquets by Pris.”
She says, “It was really good and the roses were shiny. It was like really good quality and pretty. You could also tell that the things she made it out of were good quality too.”
Lily-Rose Zapata, ‘26, started her business two months ago to earn her own money and spread happiness through her floral arrangements. She values excellent customers and wants to make them feel appreciated.
Lily is looking forward to the upcoming year and strongly desires to expand her business. She has a vision to increase her customer base by offering a wider variety of products in her shop.
Her goal is to provide her customers with a unique and pleasant shopping experience by introducing new products and enhancing the quality of her service.
Lily says, “I just hope that it continues to grow in that. I’m able to like to expand more with like the things that I am selling.”
