On Friday, March 14th, 2025, Redwood’s Drama Cub hosted the improv show. This show was performed by the Drama Club, where kids who signed up played improv games in front of a live audience.

Ender Terreforte, ‘28, shares how the students prepared for the upcoming event.

Terreforte says, “We would play the improved games we played during the show, but it would be different each time, so it would be true improv. Like, you didn’t know what was going to happen each time.”

Terreforte describes the difficulties he faced, where he would fall silent and try not to do anything because he was scared of how he’d perform.

Terreforte admits there were other difficulties, saying, “We also had to make sure we were loud enough for the audience to hear, because the overhead mics weren’t working too well, so we had to project our voices really loud.”

Abigail Ray, ‘26, was also part of the improv show.

Ray explains the preparations, saying, “There’s no real rehearsing, it’s just practicing the concept of the games because everything will be different when it’s live.”

Ray enjoyed her time in the improv show, because she got to spend her time with new people.

Ray says, “It was really fun. I got to spend time with a lot of really cool, fun people that I usually wouldn’t get to, and it was just really cool meeting these completely new people I had not previously interacted with.”

Ray declares the show went pretty smoothly.

Overall, the improv show was a fun experience for the students, both preparation and performance-wise.

The most difficult part for Ray is, “Of course, it’s hard initially to like, get into the groove of improv, and sometimes it’s hard to figure out what the bit is going to be. But once it’s all figured out it was fun, easy, and smooth.”
