Rangers share about the behind-the-scenes for the 2023 Homecoming Rally!

On September 11, Redwood High School had its annual Homecoming Rally in the gym. This rally announced the top 10 Homecoming nominees for the 2023-2024 school year, and had lots of games and outstanding performances!

Skylar Crisanto ‘26, a member of the cheer team, says, “Yes, we are performing our halftime routine. I’m excited to perform and be around everyone!”

“I’m excited to perform Dance Force’s Homecoming routine, we worked really hard on it and I can’t wait to see what everyone thinks about it.” Says, Makayla Bullock ‘24 a member of Dance Force.

Izek Nelson ‘24, the ASB president, says, “I’m really excited about all the decorations, and the games that we are doing, we are going to do Mario Cart on the big screen, I’m excited about all that.”

No matter how difficult a challenge can be, Redwood Rangers always find another solution so they can keep the party going!

“Most recently, administrators told us that it had to be two rallies, but it’s a safety thing…the gym capacity doesn’t hold the whole school, so it’s been a little bit of a setback, but for the most part we have everything planned!” Nelson says.

The campus is in full swing, having decorations all around Redwood. Redwood students are also going full out, not only in their performances but their outfits.

“The Seniors are all dressing up as Mario characters, and then the underclassmen are wearing racer outfits!” Says Bullock.
