The Paperback Rangers was founded last year by Brynnlie Travis, ’26, who is currently the president of the club.
Travis says, “We are the Paperback Rangers. We pick a book every month and we read it together,” after being asked what the book club was about.
The Paperback Rangers tend to explore new books every month. During the month of February, they decided to read “Better than the Movies” by Lynn Painter.
Amelia Fultz, ’26, says, “At the moment, we’re reading ‘Better Than the Movies.’ We started it in February to kind of celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s like [a] Rom-Com book.”

“Better than the Movies” is a book about a teen who tries to get with a past crush but then she ends up getting drawn to the boy next door.
Having a major role in a club is a very fun thing, even though it might be difficult sometimes.
On how she feels about being treasurer, Lydia Castillo, ’26, says, “When Brynnlie asked me to be treasurer I felt really excited. I had never been a part of any club whatsoever, so it was a cool opportunity and I’m happy about it.”
